How do you view the role of the artist in the age of AI-generated art?

As I mentioned earlier, I have immense respect for artists, and I believe that their unique vision is a key aspect of their creative genius. When an artist combines their vision and talent with the capabilities of artificial intelligence, the result is truly unparalleled. The fusion of human creativity and AI's processing power has the potential to produce something truly revolutionary, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for this intersection of art and technology.

What do you say to critics who argue that AI-generated art isn’t “real” art?

AI-generated art is a collaborative process that relies on human input and direction. The fact that AI-generated art requires a human request to produce anything underscores the crucial role that human creativity and vision play in the process. This highlights the importance of the talented individual behind the AI-generated art, whose unique idea and artistic vision are the driving forces behind the creation. In this sense, it's only fitting to refer to the output as art, as it is a manifestation of the human creative spirit.

How do you ensure your Midjourney creations maintain a personal touch or signature style?

Just as it was before the advent of Midjourney, uniqueness is the initial spark that sets the creative process in motion. Everything that follows is a variation, a copy, or an iteration, and it's only when we're able to tap into our own unique perspective and vision that we can truly create something original and innovative.

Have you collaborated with other artists using Midjourney? If so, how was that experience?

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Midjourney, and it's been a fascinating experience. This joint development has allowed me to work together with the AI, exploring new possibilities and pushing the boundaries of creativity.

How do you engage with the Midjourney community, and what value do you find in it?

The Midjourney community has been incredibly helpful, especially for those just starting out in this field. It's a valuable resource that provides support, guidance, and inspiration, helping to ease the transition into the world of AI-generated art.

What advice would you give to artists just starting out with Midjourney?

Don’t be too hard on yourself if your early attempts don’t turn out as expected. It’s a process, and it takes time to develop your skills.
